St. George’s Hospital Wellbeing Hub
Bringing our experience from hospitality and workplace design to this project we set out to create a radically different experience of a healthcare space.
With a focus on the individual experience, wellbeing and productivity – our transformative approach has delivered a unique setting you are more likely to discover in a hotel lobby or workplace.
The design addressed functional aspects of the space ensuring every material was durable and easy to clean, but never clinical. Instead, there is a focus on human interaction, tactile materials and biophilia.
Furniture is grouped for both social and private moments – sharing a moment around the table connecting with colleagues or taking time out.
Colour brings a feeling of joy through the commission of local graphic artist Supermundane to provide a punchy backdrop with his signature geometric images.
The result delivers an injection of joy and vibrancy to each day – a place to pause and regenerate.
Working to an incredibly tight timeline this project was supported very generously by a team of suppliers brought together by Hart Miller including and with thanks to MARK Product, Tektura, Modus, Urban Planters, Phusei and Panaz. This project was generously made possible and supported by the St George’s Hospital Charity.
